The BEE Award honors non-nursing staff whose dedication, kindness, and service play a vital role in the patient experience. From environmental services and nutrition to registration, imaging, and other support areas, these team members contribute to a welcoming, safe, and caring environment. Nominations are accepted year-round. The BEE Award recipient is selected in the spring, and all submissions help honor the team members who strengthen our care environment every day.
The DAISY Award recognizes Vernon Health nurses who demonstrate exceptional skill, compassion, and dedication. This program is part of the internationally respected DAISY Foundation, created by the Barnes family in memory of J. Patrick Barnes to honor the remarkable nursing care he received.
Nominations may be submitted for any nurse who:
Provides outstanding clinical care
Demonstrates compassion toward patients and families
Goes above and beyond in their daily practice
Makes a significant positive impact during care
All nominations are reviewed by a Vernon Health committee using criteria established by the National DAISY Foundation. Nurses are nominated throughout the year, and one honoree is recognized each fall during our annual celebration.
