Kelly Scheder is a passionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner currently serving at the La Farge Medical Clinic at VMH. With over two decades of experience, Kelly has been a valued member of the La Farge clinic since 2004, providing expert care and building lasting relationships with her patients. Originally from Appleton, WI, she relocated to the Kickapoo Valley in 2004, where she and her husband, Mike, are raising their two sons along with their two cats.
Kelly’s passion for medicine stems from her fascination with the science of healthcare and her commitment to working closely with diverse individuals. Her practice includes routine care, physicals, well child exams, mental health support, and compassionate care for patients dealing with illnesses or injuries. She also provides women’s health services, including contraception and prenatal care through the 28th week of pregnancy. Her approach centers on open and transparent conversations that empower patients to make informed decisions about their health.
Kelly coordinates the Reach Out and Read Program at the clinic, promoting early literacy among young patients and their families.
She holds several certifications and licenses to ensure high quality care, including Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and certification as a Medical Examiner for CDL licensing. Kelly remains committed to staying current with advancements in healthcare.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys cross country skiing, hiking, and gardening. She also volunteers her time at sports physical nights for local clinics, supporting high school athletes and staying engaged in the community.
